The non-dairy Natren powder probiotics contain Garbanzo bean extract and Garbanzo beans are not allowed for people on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (or SCD). In that case, you may want to try the dairy-based powders OR if you can swallow/take pills then you can take the Healthy Trinity product.
A few people have mentioned to us that SCD recommends to exclude the Bifidum strain in probiotics for people with IBD. Jini recommends that all people with Crohn’s need all 3 species of the good bacteria (including Bifidum) to achieve long-term healing.
Jini wrote an excellent guide on how to choose a potent probiotic over at her blog so if you would like to take a look, click HERE.
